Finally back online!

HELLOOOOOOOO!

It's been way too long. So sorry, just so much going on. Just wanted to update everyone on what we were up to this summer.

Mid July we went to California for our annual summer trip to visit Mac's family.

So here ya go:

The whole family did a 5k walk called the Wharf to Wharf race. Lots of fun. Here's me, Pam and Caitlin's mom as Mac made us walk backwards across the finish line while he took our picture.

Ok, this is the dining room of the Brookdale Lodge. It's such a great place, but a little worn.

Pam & I enjoying a "foot massage", which is actually a full body massage!
(She says it's the best $20 ever spent!)

Now that you're caught up, here's the end of the Bre and Brandy visit. So here's what happened after July 4th...

Justin and Scott took Bre & Brandon to my friend Valerie's house. She lives in Oceanview, and her house backs up to the beach.

They had a blast kyaking...ck out Bre's sweet skills...

Here's Brandon giving it a try...

Brandon & Justin building sand castles

Scott & Bre

Love this one, Bre buried in the sand and the boys made it look like she has a mermaid tail. (click on the pic to make it bigger so you can see it)

Time to hit the road. Group shot in front of our house just before Mac & I took Bre & Brandon to meet up with Dad and Pam. We found a camp ground between our house & dad's house in Florida, so we decided to camp out over the weekend and let the kids go home with them for a week.

The boys packed up the car for us...yikes!

On the road again...

Our passengers...awwwww

The next morning Brandon and I were the first ones up. Beautiful sunrise at our camp in South Carolina.

Brandon starting up the fire...he played in the fire the whole weekend. Such a boy thing!

We took a 1 mile hike on a nature trail...which turned out to be more like 2 miles plus. (We blame Mac)

Bre found a multi-colored pine cone. Pretty!

Ok, we are the only brave souls of the group. We actually went into the lake, which was covered in a layer of dead may flies! EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

If you click on this, you'll see the bugs in the water. The only way we would do it was on rafts!

Ok, everyone is showered and feeling better...time for smoores! mmmm

Ahhh, it's getting dark and of course Brandon is maintaining the fire.

Bre made us jiffy pop!

Ok, I think I do a better job loading up the car. =)

Last morning, breakfast at Waffle House of course! Boys table...and by the way, this is the face Brandon made most of the time.

On the way home we HAD to stop at South of the Border...I believe the reality is...this place is dead!

They have an "Antiques" shop...hmmm, not so much.

Inside the shop. I believe I'm more of an antique than this mask. hahaa

And Mac found a lovely senorita...

Hey Pedro, I like your hat!

So that was the end of the Bre & Brandon visit. Good times!
Tune in next week and I'll share the latest & greatest. There's some big news coming. =)
