We got to the park and found "the perfect campsite", put up our tent and hit the next town for groceries. The weather was fabu, in the 70's and sunny.
Mac grilled steaks for dinner, yum yum! And we made smores...I can't remember the last time I had those? Anyway, it started getting cold and by the time we got up Saturday morning it was below 60 degrees. brrrrrrrr campers!
Cook up that breakfast Cookie!!
After breakfast we drove to New Market, VA to check out a flea market. That was a bust. Wasn't impressed at all. Then we drove up further north to Leesburg, VA. There's a shop there I love, called Luckett's and they have great buys on furniture and architectural pieces. We bought a new dresser and are thinking about some other pieces. You just can't beat their prices.

After returning from Leesburg, we did some hiking and found a great spot to watch the sun set. The weather was great and the view spectacular. We made sandwiches and Mac taught me how to play Gin. (he beat me twice) It wasn't as cold as the night before, so we sat by the fire and chatted.
Sunset...taken with Mac's camera phone!
We got up this morning (and we didn't freeze), had some breakfast and loaded up the car. We had a great time and really enjoyed the relaxing pace. Life is good! Oh, and we didn't see any bears. Apparently that is a common occurrence. YIKES!!
An over look on the way out of the park...of course Mac has his camp coffee!Had a call today from Emese (my birthday sister in Phoenix), she just got engaged. We are so happy for her! Congrats E. and Jason!! Can't wait to see you both.
Back to work tomorrow. Have a great week everyone!
