Two weeks ago Saturday, we flew to San Francisco. We had delays in St. Louis due to the fires in CA causing low visibility. By the time we got here we were beat, so we chatted a bit and then came back to Kim's to our cozy little apartment in her three level home. We're down on the lower level, which means it's always nice and cool down here. We have a cute little living area, bed and dresser, kitchen and private bath. Also, the patio door opens to a nice a large shared yard with chaise lounge chairs and an umbrella. Love it!
Here we are at Kim's...Christopher couldn't resist poking his cute face in our pic.
Sunday we got up early and all drove down to Pismo Beach. Everyone rode ATVs and I walked around Pismo and went to the beach. Megan got a video of Mac flying off his ATV and laying on his back for a few minutes. He said he saw stars for the first time ever, and it seriously hurt! But of course he has to act like it's not a problem and he hopped up and went on to finish the ride. I'll have to get the pics of the ride and insert them later.
I got a little sun...
Mac's mom and me...
Monday Mac, Pam and I did the Lexington Dam walk. I think it's about 4 miles or more. We got back showered and we all went over the hill to Santa Cruz to Martin and Mimi's house. We went to the boardwalk arcade and then walked down the pier.

Tuesday, Pam and I took a 5 mile walk, then everyone loaded up and we went to San Francisco to walk around Chinatown and the surrounding area.
Mac's fortune cookie was perfect considering his 4-wheel experience.
We did a raft trip down the American River, we've seen a couple of movies, beach day at Santa Cruz, Watsonville Speedway, picnic in the Redwoods, trivia night at a local pub, and today we went to the wine country to Berringer Winery for a wine tasting tour. That was really cool. Tonight we got back in time to have dinner with Mac's mom, she made us some delicious crab cakes and yummy dessert! Thanks Anita! =)
Also, Mac took the Cluck U 911 Challenge and ate 12 wings covered in a thick, almost paste like coating of super hot spices and chili powder in less than 10 minutes with nothing to drink...once eaten, you have lick your fingers then sit for 5 minutes to complete the challenge. (which he did) They gave him a t-shirt and took his picture to put up on the wall. He said the sauce literally burned his skin, his fingers were numb and the inside of his mouth was too. I don't think he has his taste buds all back yet! LOL Dear lord, he had tears streaming down his face and runny nose the entire time he was eating. People were watching and they played that song, the Eye of the Tiger in the background as he ate. After they took his picture and we got the t-shirt he told us he had to leave immediately and promptly got sick in the car. We brought him home, he showered and brushed his teeth several times. The kids were so proud of him, they went to the mall and had a hat made up for him. It's his new favorite hat. FYI...he does NOT recommend anyone try this at home or anywhere for that matter!
Here are the wings before he started eating them...they look gross!

Trivia night at the pub...we had two teams, we were the East Coast Wrecking Crew and Martin had the Sledgehammers. (we beat them by about 5 points)
Somehow, Pam and I managed to implant ourselves in multiple pictures! LOL

Mac had fig pizza...and it was yummy!
Pam and her mom enjoying fresh artichoke...beautiful! LOL
Friday we're taking a drive up to a town called Tiberon (sp?) it's a nice walk, check out the town and then we're heading over to Martin and Mimi's house in Santa Cruz to spend the night. Saturday is a beach day, and Sunday we head home. =(
That's about it for now, I still have to add in a few more pics before we leave. I'll try to update before we leave.
xoxo
