4 Months Post Op

I can't believe how quickly time flies. I'm now at 82.5 pounds lost and tomorrow morning I'll take my inches and give you the new total. It's been going great this week, just exercising and walking on the treadmill. Mac is coming home tonight and we have a long weekend ahead since we have Monday off for Labor Day.

That's about it for now, I'll have more to post on Sunday.

Have a great weekend!

DC Visit

Yesterday we drove up to DC to check out the Eastern Market...just off the Capitol. It's a great little neighborhood with renovated brownstone type housing and they all have that old Victorian style that I love.

The market was pretty good, lots of local artists, jewelry, fruits and veggies, with a few antiques thrown in. We went through it fairly quickly, so we drove over to the Jefferson Memorial to check it out. It's not on the mall, but across the river from everything all alone, and we'd never been over there. The statue is so tall it's like looking up at Paul Bunyan! I believe Mac captured it in the pic he took.

We also posed with George Mason...

And we had a great view of the Washington Memorial...Here's Mac demonstrating his super human strength...

On the way home we stopped at On the Border and had dinner with Megan and her boyfriend, Aaron. Aren't they so cute?

Mac left this morning for back to back business trips, and he won't be home till Friday night. =( Sad for me. So it's just me and Justin. He's busy getting to classes and I'm working away. Took my walk tonight with one of my fav co-workers, Ashley. Thanks Ashley for filling in for Mac! I'm still stuck around the 80 pounds lost mark, but adding more exercise starting today so we'll see how that goes.

Crazy in Williamsburg!

It's been a whirlwind around here...getting everyone signed up for classes, cars inspected, trying to get a new fridge this week, etc. The fun never ends around here!

Mac has been out of town this week, poor thing got stuck in DC last night and had to crash at a hotel...finally got to his room at 130 this morning and then took an early flight home. He then had to go to work for a conference call and he's totally worn out! =(

I've been busy with Justin, we've been getting his car up to par, as soon as it gets inspected tomorrow he'll be totally legal! WOOOHOOOOOO!!

Meanwhile on the weight loss front, I was stuck at 80 pounds lost until today (one week)...but this morning I got on the scales and saw that I'd lost 2 pounds so I was excited! I was hoping to hit 85 by the end of the month. (fingers crossed) Weight loss may start slowing down, not sure...but next week I'm starting a new exercise plan where I do free weight exercises Mon/Wed/Fri and on Tues/Wed I do an overall work out dvd. Then Mac and I will walk at night 5 nights a week. I'm hoping all of this combined with my new way of eating will keep it coming off. I also picked up a great book called the "6 Day Body Makeover". It's different ways of eating based on your body type. My body type eating plan is exactly what I'm supposed to be eating and the portion sizes are about the same too, so I'm going to start that next week too. There's great recipes in there too, they sound yummy. I'll keep you posted on how that work out next week. Oh, and yesterday I was so excited because I got a big order of goodies from one of my favorite websites, http://www.bariatriceating.com/. This site rocks! I ordered Chili Nacho Cheese Protein Chips (very yummy), Peanut butter packets (honey flavored), Bariatric Vitamins, and a variety pack of flavors of Baked Soy Protein Chips, oh!! and a low carb-sugar free mix to make brownies!!! They have great products for people who've had the surgery. The lady who owns it had the surgery several years ago and she has a book you can buy on there too. She has recipes, vitamins, protein drinks, and various products you can try. It's a great site. If you know anyone who is looking for this type stuff you should tell them to check it out. Love it!!

So that's about it for me. I have picked up a few things to wear because everything is just too big now. I'm down to a regular size 16...not Women's size, Regular! I bought a couple pairs of pants for work and they aren't even tight at all. I also bought some light weight sweat pants to walk in...Mac took my pic.

We're heading up to the big flea market in DC this Sunday, so check back Monday, I'll post some pics. =)

Sunday night in Williamsburg

Things have been busy around here. Sadly I don't have any more weight loss to report, but I've just maintained at 80 pounds lost. Maybe next week. I did reward myself for hitting the 80 pound mark by picking up a pair of jeans that fit, a few new t-shirts and a trip to the Salon Vivace and it was wonderful!

We've been having great weather and a little rain off and on...which we need in the worst way. The flowers on the deck are very happy.

The kids are getting ready for school, which starts tomorrow, Mac is going out of town tomorrow for a few days, and I'm back to work after a very nice relaxing weekend.

I'll check in Wednesday...have a great week!

Good Morning!

We are having a great weekend! Yesterday was fantastic, cool and slightly overcast. Mac and I worked on the deck and I got my flowers planted. Looks great. We ordered a new umbrella (since ours blew away in a storm last year) and lights. Now we're ready for some nice fall weather. That's when we usually cook out and eat on the deck. Can't wait. (to get a closer look you can click on each pic and it will make it bigger...then hit the back button to go back to the blog)

This morning I slept late and I'm heading outside to read my book. Just wanted to give my new number...as of this morning I've lost 80 pounds! Wowwie wow wow!

Mac is making french onion soup tonight and we plan on walking taking our walk. Hope your having as great weekend!

It is hotter than...Arizona!

Mac is in Scottsdale, AZ right now on business and he said it was in the 90's yesterday. It was in the 90's here too, but with the heat index it felt like 103! And today it actually hit 102. HELP!

I've still been walking at night. (not the same without Mac) The first night I went alone and a little later than usual. That was a little too creepy for me, so now one of my friends from work is walking with me. Needless to say we are "glowing" when we get done. As of today I've lost 76.5. Tomorrow is my checkup with my surgeon. They'll do blood work, etc and see how my iron levels and stuff like that are doing. It'll take a few weeks for the results.

That's about it for now. Just working and getting things ready for back to school. We're thinking about going up to DC this weekend to check out some museums we haven't seen yet.

Have a great weekend!

It's Saturday Night!!

Great news, I've now lost 74 pounds...and feeling good. We took Megan & Scott out for dinner tonight as a late B-day celebration. Good times. Mac and I split a cheeseburger, that's the first one I've have in ages. Yum Yum =)

We bought flowers today, so tomorrow I'll get them planted. We're trying to get the deck in order so we can enjoy the cool fall days we hope are coming soon.

I sent out a few pics from tonight, but I'll share one now.
