Busy in DC

I got a job! Woooooo....finally. I'm working in HR at BAE Systems US HDQ in Rosslyn, love it! Beautiful building and looks like it will be great benefits. (this is a temp to perm position)

After working for two weeks, I went with Mac to Texas. He was there for a helicopter conference and we had already bought my ticket before I got my job, so they let me have the week off.

Downtown Fort Worth, Reatta's rooftop bar

While downtown I got to meet the Governor of Texas, Rick Perry...and his gun!

Us with my niece who just turned 13...Breanna Kay

Keith and Brenda invited us to Keith's graduation...his mom, the kids, mom and Charles, me and Justin
We also took in the Andy Warhol exhibit in Fort Worth. We weren't supposed to take pictures, but...
This past weekend we've had Mac's sister Kim and mom Anita here visiting us in DC. We had so much fun with them...we walked them all over to some of our favorite places including a walk through Old Town Alexandria. (I left my camera battery in TX, so I don't have any pics!)
Hope everyone is doing well! Until next time...

Spring is here!

March 25th was our 2nd anniversary! Mac flew in from a business trip that night, so I met him at the airport with a little bottle of champagne...to US!

With the end of spring comes the cherry blossoms...

It was a little overcast and cool, but they were gorgeous!

We celebrated our anniversary with dinner at Zola. A great place right by our apartment.

You can click on this pic to see the pendant Mac gave me...

My dinner...crab cobb salad...very good!

We had a nice view (behind us) of the National Portrait Gallery

After dinner, we took the metro up to the American University and saw "Oklahoma"...it was OK, haha. It was actually pretty good. We had a great night.

We also managed to get tickets at one of the last viewings of the Terra Cotta Soldiers at the National Geographic Museum. So interesting.

Here's Mac with the fake soldier at the gift shop.

We also found a huge Asian market called Super H Mart. (behind us) They had all kinds of crazy stuff! Mac is on a stir fry kick, so we had to see if they had the obscure items he claimed to need.

The result, DELISH!

More blooms...

The National Cathedral

Today Scott came up and we walked down to the tidal basin to see the blooms, then home for dinner.
Then home for dinner...Chef Mac hard at work! Ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans and home made dinner rolls! Fabulous!!

We hope everyone had a happy Easter!
